On April 02nd, 2026, at the premises of the “Musine
Kokalari” Library in Tirana, a follow-up activity on “Youth
Participation Mechanisms in Albania” took place. This workshop was
organized in the Framework of the project Talk2Move in collaboration with Youth
Takes Steps Organization. This activity was implemented with the aim of
increasing young people's awareness and knowledge of ways they can be actively
involved in decision-making processes and public life.
Together with 10 youngsters from Tirana, through an
interactive and participatory approach, the activity provided space for
reflection, exchange of experiences, and identification of concrete
opportunities for civic and youth engagement.
Under the moderation of trainer Ms. Jesmina Sengla,
a civil society activist, the young participants had the opportunity to deepen
the discussion on existing instruments and mechanisms that enable their active
involvement in decision-making processes and public life.
The activity concluded with a strong sense of motivation
among participants to take a more proactive role in their communities. By
equipping them with practical knowledge and encouraging critical reflection,
the workshop not only strengthened their understanding of civic engagement but
also inspired them to translate ideas into concrete actions. Ultimately, it
reinforced the importance of youth as active contributors to democratic
processes and highlighted the need for continuous support in fostering meaningful
participation at the local and national level.
